Why I chose Green Apple Active Clothing to wear exclusively for my Yog

Polyester, rayon and spandex were the theme of my closet up until about 5 years ago. An avid gym-rat, and past Personal Trainer and Group Fitness Instructor had me trained to dress comfortably and wear these chemicals onto your body. You see, I did not know that synthetic fabrics leech petroleum onto your body when you sweat, are not biodegradable and are known thyroid and hormone disruptors. They also end up in Landfills and pollute our Planet.

I went shopping one day and found a pair of Green Apple Active Black Yoga Leggings in the racks at TJMAXX (you cannot buy Green Apple Active at TJMAXX anymore). I tried them on and felt like I slipped into the softest pair of pants I had ever worn. I saw on the tag that they were bamboo and everything was eco-friendly. I bought them and went home.

Fast forward 2 years and my Green Apple Active Leggings are going strong. I decide to look for a new pair, and I can’t find them. Mild panic sets in as I LIVE in these pants. I google them and find them online. Score!

Five years later I am still a huge fan of the brand. Too few people know about the benefits of organic bamboo. Bamboo is naturally biodegradable, hypoallergenic and is perfect for women with sensitive skin (like myself). Bamboo also has antimicrobial properties which help keep it fresh and clean, even in your gym bag.

I support all-natural, super soft, eco-friendly work out clothing which benefits our Planet.  For me, it was a simple choice. I live my life healthily, and support sustainable living on this Earth.
